My Dream Woman is Unclean

Do I Marry the Slob

Hey Vette, I’ve been reading your blog for a little while now and it’s been great.  Each week the there is something interesting and exciting, so keep it up. But this time I am not only a reader, I’m the who needs your help! So here goes…

I have been dating my girlfriend for 3 years and everything has been great.  She’s beautiful, funny, and smart. She has good conversation, good credit and no BABY DADDY drama! As far as I am concerned she has it all, and I thought I was ready to POP the question. But…there’s one thing that bothers me and I don’t know what to do or how to talk to her about it. We recently decided to move in together and the first couple of months or so were great. Then I started noticing she would leave a shirt here, or a pair of shoes at the door, a huge mess in the bathroom. But whatever we are both busy people so I didn’t make a big deal of it and life went on. So this weekend she wasn’t feeling too well and stayed in bed while I took care of the house duties. It’s cool – we’re a team. I started to separate the dirty clothes so I could start a load of laundry. Nothing major right – that was until I pull out a pair of my girls work pants with her panties still tangles up inside. Then I saw It!!!

The nasty dirty used PAD! Finding one was disgusting enough, but then I found another, and another one. Trying not to puke I just stopped. I couldn’t take anymore. What’s crazy to me is that anytime I visited or stayed over at her place it was so clean, I mean spotless. What the hell happened? Vette, I don’t know what to do! Do I confront her? Do I call it off? Hell, do I just run away and send her am email? I mean I love this woman, and it’s been 3 years, please help me out.

My girl is gross…

GIVE EM’ THEIR FLOWERS

Bryson is truly a rare breed. In a world, where it is too often mentioned, “there are no more good men out there”, I want it to be known, there is still hope!

When I think back on Us, all I can say is…

He loved me through

  • He has never forgotten an anniversary
  • He has NEVER been abusive, mentally, physically or emotionally
  • He is always willing to talk through any issues or concerns
  • He understands my love language

It has been eight years now that I and my husband have been married and still till this day I am so thankful for him being in my life. Eight years in and he still gives me chills all over my body, he still makes me feel butterflies in my stomach. This man came into my life at time where I wanted to just give up on everything and everyone.

But he would not let me give up. He loves me with a love unmatched. There is not a day that goes by that he fails to make me smile. Once a week since the time we were dating he brings me roses.  Two or three times out of the week no matter how busy we get he joins me for lunch. We hold hands, he opens doors for me, he places me on the inside of the sidewalk, and when we return home at night he walks in first just in case.  Now I know these things seem insignificant but they aren’t.

They show me his consistency. He shows me that I matter to him enough to always make me a priority. He loves me so much that he makes sure I see the sweet things he did to get me are the sweet things he will forever do to keep me. My husband is my hero and I want the world to know.

If you have been blessed with someone who loves you with a love unmeasured, it would be wise to cherish them. Trust me they only come once in a life-time

So Bryson, I’m giving you your flowers now
